5th European Conference on Argumentation – ECA 2025

The European Conference on Argumentation (ECA) is a biennial pan-European initiative aimed at consolidating and advancing research on argumentation. After four successful editions in Lisbon in 2015, Fribourg in 2017, Groningen in 2019, and Rome in 2022, ECA was hosted in 2025 by the Warsaw University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland. The conference attracted scholars on argumentation from around the world, representing various disciplines, addressing a wide range of themes, and adopting diverse methodological approaches.

During the conference, Prof. Sara Greco, leader of the project Costruire Spazi di dialogo per la risoluzione dei conflitti, presented a poster showcasing the project’s objectives and ongoing activities.

Young adults’ transition to the world of work

Entering the professional world is for young people a delicate moment of rupture and transition, a moment that may involve disagreements and even conflicts.
What are the main challenges young people face in this process?
What tools can help overcome these difficulties?

In the framework of the SNSF Agora project “Costruire spazi di dialogo per la risoluzione dei conflitti” (“Building dialogue spaces to solve conflicts”), we discuss the concepts of ‘rupture’ and ‘transition’, elaborated within cultural psychology.
